M’lore: Two-day National-level Moot Court Competition Concludes

Mangalore, Jan 14: The two-day national-level Moot Court competition, organized by SDM Law College and Centre for Postgraduate Studies in Law concluded here on Sunday January 13.

Varnika Mohan, Divya Bhatia and P Uthaa Priyadharshini, students of ILS Law College, Pune won the contest and received a trophy and a cash price of Rs 20, 000. Before the results were announce M V Shankar Bhat, a lawyer, offered to make these three students his ‘juniors’.

K M Natraj, a high court lawyer was also impressed with the talents of the winners.

There was another Pune team from Balaji Law College comprising of Mayank Diwan, Anup Kumar Das, Smritit Sagr and Deepshika Sinha. They won a cash price of Rs 10, 000 and received a trophy too.

Arvinda Sharma from Vilas Law College, Mysore got the best gentlemen advocate whereas the best lady advocate was won by Priyadarshini Shetty from Government Law College. They received a cash price of Rs 3,000 each.
