Mangalore: Alva's College of Nursing Win Throwball Tourney

Mangalore, Jan 15: As part of Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust's bi-decennial year celebrations, an inter-collegiate throwball tournament was organized with a bang. Alva's College of Nursing won the tourney defeating host Dr M V Shetty College at Mangala stadium here on Monday January 14.

Alva's College of Nursing beat Dr M V Shetty College with scores at 25-23.



Earlier in the day, the tournament was inaugurated by the senate member in the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and trustee in Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust, Dr Nidarsh Shetty.

Trustee of Dr M V Shetty College of Nursing B V Kathyayani, principal prof K Shantakumari, vice-principal Sashi Prasad among others were also present at the inauguration and tourney.



Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust founder secretary Dr M Ramgopal Shetty presided over the programme. In all nine teams from the district participated in the tournament.
