Mangalore, Jan 19: Mass wedding ceremony will be organized by Bearys Welfare Forum (BWF), Abu Dhabi, on Sunday January 20 at Shadhi Mahal, located at Bolar, in the city, said Mohammad Ali Uchil, president of BWF, here at the press conference on Friday, January 18.
The wedding ceremony will be presided over by Mohammed Ali Uchil, president of BWF and inaugurated by BA Moideen, former MLA. The gathering will be welcomed by Abdulla Madumale, chief secretary of BWF. UT Khader, former MLA of Ullal and Prof M Abdul Rehman, former vice-chancellor of Kannur and Calicut Universities and others will be chief guests, present at the occasion, he added.
Addresing media persons, Abdulla Madumale, chief secretary of BWF, said “age, poverty and not taking dowries are the three yardsticks for mass weddings and the Forum gives heed to the age, in order to avert the minors from getting married.
Other office bearers of BWF were also present at the press conference.
