M'lore: St Joseph's Seminary Alumni Celebrate 40 Yrs of Priesthood

Mangalore, Jan 19: A group of priests who completed their studies at St Joseph's Seminary, Jeppu here and who were ordained in 1967 celebrated the ruby jubilee of thier priesthood on Thursday January 17 and Friday January 18.

Archbishop of Bangalore was one of the priests who celebrated 40 years of priesthood. Priests from Mangalore, Bangalore, Bellary dioceses, and couple of dioceses from Kerala were present. Out of the 18 priests of the batch, ten were present.

Msgr Denis Prabhu, who also belongs to the same batch, welcomed the batch to the city. On January 17 a group prayer session was held at the Pastoral Institute, Bajjodi here.

On January 18 morning there was a jubilee Mass at St Joseph's Seminary. Archbishop of Bangalore Dr Bernard Moras was the main celebrant. Bishop Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza felicitated the jubilarians. Fr Victor Machado, rector of the Seminary welcomed the batch. Later the whole group was felicitated at the bishop's house.
