Mumbai, Jan 21: Anuj Saxena's Maverick, true to its name has many an entertaining plans to make the viewers' life more interesting. But before that, it has a surprise for all Aamna fans. After Prachi Desai, another Balaji girl, Aamna Shariff (aka Kashish of Kahin To Hoga) is making her bollywood debut. Aamna will be starring in a Robbie Garewal film opposite Aftab Shivdasani. She will play the role of a Delhi based girl. The film will go on the floors in mid February, in a start to finish schedule. Aamna became a hit with the world-wide audience with Balaji's ‘Kahiin To Hoga’. She engaged viewers with her charm and grace.

The beautiful actress is also remembered for bringing in the latest fashion trends on the small screen. She took a break from her TV serials, in order to make it to bollywood. Maverick, the production house launched by popular actor, Anuj Saxena has made its presence felt in the entertainment industry. Very soon, Maverick is on the verge of adding yet another feather to an already illustrious cap. Maverick which is presenting Sushmita Sen, Fardeen Khan and Shahrukh Khan starrer ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’ in 2008, will be launching the television heart-throb, Aamna Shariff in bollywood. The film is titled 'Aloo Chaat' which will be directed by Robby Garewal who had earlier directed MP3 ‘Mera Pehla Pehla Pyar’.

Aftab Shivdasani will be paired opposite Aamna in this solo hero venture. After doing films like ‘Samay’ with Sushmita Sen and ‘Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar’ with a bunch of newcomers, Robbie is all set to do a love-story now.

Anuj Saxena feels that the pairing would make the movie a hit. On asking the reason for this unique pairing, the CEO of Maverick, Anuj Saxena said 'Aamna and Aftab both suited the roles perfectly, they also make a good pair together and I think they will create the necessary magic for this film'.  This is Maverick's first independent production.

We hope Maverick will continue to contribute value added shows and bring about the much required change in television as well as film industry.  Besides, Maverick has also distributed director, Moustafa Akkad's bollywood classic movie ‘Al-Risalah’s dubbed version and Maverick also distributed ‘Om Shanti Om’ in Rajasthan and ‘Cash’ in Mysore recently.
