M'lore: Seminar on Leadership and Career Guidance held

Mangalore, Jan 21: A one-day seminar on 'Leadership in the Making and Reaching to the Top' and a career guidance programme for the students was held on Sunday January 20 at Kirem Church hall at Kinnigoli here by Divo, Illustrated Konkani weekly.

Fr Alfred Pinto, dean of Kinnigoli deanery, inaugurated  the seminar. Fr Charles Noronha, parish priest of Kirem Church and Prof Clarance Miranda, principal of Sacred Heart College, Madantyar were the chief guests.
In his speech Prof Miranda congratulated the Divo team who came all the way from Mumbai to organize a camp for children here. He urged the students to make optimum use of the seminar which would help them to develop their personality and choose the right careers.

V P Lobo, vice-president of Marg Construction Ltd, Chennai conducted the morning session. In his two-hour session he gave useful tips to students on choosing the right career and how to develop one's personality with positive thinking.

Prof Judith Pinto, lecturer of  St Aloysious College, in the afternoon session shed light on family values and its significance. Dr Gerald Pinto, professor of Milagres College, Kallianpur talked about opportunities in government posting. The last session was conducted by Fr Dr Ronald Coutinho on 'Optimum use of Talents.'

During lunch session well-known comedian Dolla entertained the audience with a hilarious performance.

Divo editor Lawrence Coelho welcomed the guests while assistant editor Naveen Kulshekar briefed about the significance of the seminar. Lawrence D’Souza, Kamani proposed the vote of thanks.

Walter Lasrado, Cyprian Sampige and S Lobo of Divo were present at the seminar. Peter D’costa compered the programme.
