Mangalore: Bapsy Rodrigues Bags 18th Rank in CA Final Exams

Mangalore, Jan 22: Bapsy Rodrigues of Kulshekar in the city has secured 18th rank in the CA final exams conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in November 2007, the results of which have just been declared in January 2008.
Bapsy is the eldest daughter of Frank Rodrigues of Kaikamba-Kowdoor origin, currently working at Syndicate Bank, Puttur, and Mazie Rodrigues nee Moras of Kadri-Kambla, Bijai, a teacher at St Agnes High School, Bendur, Mangalore. They reside in Ummikhan Estate in Kulshekar.
Bapsy has been a topper throughout, having studied at St Agnes institutions from 1988. She passed SSLC and PUC with distinction and I BCom and II BCom in First Class. In college, she had won the Principal's Roll of Honour during all the years of study and 'Best Outgoing Student' award.
She has bagged medals and trophies in various competitions at school, college , district and state-level like quiz, singing, seminar, flower arrangements, collage, mad-ads, venture capitalists and has also compered many programmes and functions. She was the vice president of ICYM unit of Kulshekar in 2006.
She has also won the 'Rashtrapati Puraskar' in Guiding. Besides, she was also an active member of the National Service Scheme (NSS). The crowning glory of her college studies came when she secured 5th rank in the BCom final examination held by the Mangalore University, held in 2004.
Her hobbies are music, reading, singing, gardening and philately.
She underwent Articleship under the guidance of city's leading Chartered Accountant, Nitin J Shetty at Balmatta-Upper Bendur.
