Mangaluru, Dec 22: Amid media reports that the Congress high command had issued him a show-cause notice for his outbursts against the party, Janardhan Poojary on Thursday December 22 told reporters that he had not received any notice from the party, and asserted that even if he was shunted out, he would remain loyal to the Congress.
Addressing a press meet here, Poojary said, "There have been some media reports that AICC has expelled me. But I have not received any notice as of now. They can expel me from the Congress but Congress is in my blood, and they cannot remove that. My father was also a disciplined worker of the Congress and the party''''s discipline is inherent in me. I have worked for the party from Nehru''''s time and the Nehru family is my life. Let them remove me from the party, then let''''s see. Even if they remove me from the party my stand will not change."
Taking a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi Poojary said, "The highest number of people had gathered at Rahul Gandhi''''s Gujarat rally. Seeing such a giant crowd BJP and Modi have become desperate. Modi''''s balloon has burst. People have turned against Modi due to the note ban. If RSS has any sense of patriotism towards the country let them throw Modi out of power. If they don''''t, RSS will lose its credibility."
Commenting on former excise minister H Y Meti''''s scandal, Poojary said, "If the chief minister has any self-respect, let him expel Meti from the government."
Reports suggest that given his constant tirades against the Congress party especially against chief minister Siddaramaiah, the party high command has decided to show-cause notice to Poojary. However, Poojary has maintained that he has not been issued any notice, and if he was, he would reply to it.
