Mangalore: Flavian Quadros Bags First Rank in All-India RGUHS Exam

Mangalore: Flavian Quadros Bags First Rank in All-India RGUHS Exam

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (AF)

Mangalore, Jan 28: TVDaijiworld anchor Flavian Quadros has done the city proud by bagging the first rank in masters in hospital administration at the all-India-level exams conducted by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). She did her masters from city's Fr Muller Institution.

Speaking to Daijiworld Flavian said that though she worked hard and aimed to score well in the exams, she never expected to bag the first rank.

She revealed that she had wanted to become a doctor early in life but missed the opportunity after a shocking failure by just two marks in std XII. She had felt so disheartened that she never wanted to do anything. But when she recovered, she never wanted to go in to medical line.

However, her failure made her more determined and with the support of her loving family she not only eased out the bad memories of her failure in std XII but came out with flying colours in her BSc exams, bagging the third rank in BSc from Mumbai University.

After she accomplished the stupendous achievement, she made up her mind to prove her exceptional abilities once again by going in to hospital management. She was very clear about her goal right from day one and her hard work and dedication bore sweet fruits.

It was Fr Denis Moras, who is now the vicar general of Mangalore diocese who first suggested her to pursue hospital management course from Fr Muller. She dedicates her success first to God and of course to her parents, brother and sister-in-law who have stayed with her in thick and thin.  She did not forget to remember the role played by the then administrator of Fr Muller Fr Lawrence D'Souza, present administrator Fr Denis D'Sa and MHA course coordinator Sweeta D'Cunha along with faculty members.  "They have been very cooperative, encouraging and supportive to me always," she added.

She has a flair for writing and has been even offered several jobs, but her mind is set on doing PhD in healthcare. But the for the time being she wants to get into a job in hospital in the marketing field.
