Kuwait: SWAK Celebrates Annual Feast

Kuwait, February 1: Shirva Welfare Association Kuwait (SWAK) under the presidentship of Urban D’Souza celebrated its Patron feast (Vodlen Fest) at Indian Central School Auditorium on Friday 1st February 2008 from 5.00 pm onwards.

The program started with prayer lead by Agnes Barboza and warm welcome by President Urban D’Souza.  SWAK Ex Secretary Ivan Martis briefed the annual report to the gathered.





Audience enjoyed mind blowing songs by Ashok Barboza, Kris D'souza, Lorraine Machado to the tune of Adrian Gomes music.  Foot tapping dances were performed by Anusha and SWAK Member's children from Jovas XLNC.  Music Maestro Adrian Gomes kids Alister and Alston mesmerized the audience by their musical performance.  Rib tickling jokes were enacted by Alexander and Janet.

During the felicitation session, Fr. Melwyn D’Cunha was the chief guest who also delivered feast message.  The entire committee member along with Fr. Melwyn cut the cake to symbolically start the feast.  Outstanding and merit students were honored by Fr. Melwyn.  The sponsors, outstanding members and media personnels werte also honored during the occation for their contribution towards SWAK.




Different games were conducted to all the age groups. A lot of spot prizes were given during dance sessions.  Lucky dip draw and Housie were conducted to keep the excitement alive.  Lucky member and highest lucky dip seller were honored with prizes.  Votes of thanks were delivered by Gretta D’Souza and Leena Martis offered grace before meal.








The well conducted program came to an end with masala dance session and grand buffet dinnet by Delhi Darbar which is a sister concern of Spinneys confectionery and Cannes Pastries. The program was well compered by Roshan D’Silva and appreciated by everyone.
