Daughter of Hariprasad Rao and Swarna Gowri, Tanvi is a bundle of talent who has made her mark in the field of dance from an early age. Her special talent, for which she was chosen for Prachanda Putani, lies in her ability to choreograph her own dance and even that of others. A bright star in the making Tanvi has a long list of achievements to her credit, each one surpassing her earlier accomplishment.
The little wonder has already made her presence felt in the state and national-level dance arena. She has received appreciation from even bollywood queen Aishwarya Rai for her dance on the number 'Nimbooda Nimbooda' and has been personally congratulated by Aishwarya's father Krishna Raj Rai.
At the national level, Tanvi won the 'Parle G Dum Duma Dum' dance contest at Mumbai Doordarshan for her dance on a Marathi song. She choreographed the dance herself, and did so even without knowing Marathi!
At a programme by famous Hindi playback singer Suresh Wadkar during the golden jubilee celebrations of MIT Manipal, Tanvi presented an impromptu dance for 'Goro ki Na Kalon ki' sung by Wadkar who was so impressed that he asked her to continue dancing for some more songs sung by him. Wadkar was so appreciative of her talent that he announced she would become the next Aishwarya.
Gurukiran, the famous music director invited her to perform at the beach festival in 2007 where the renowned Hindi playback singer Udit Narayan performed. She danced to the tune of Ra Ra from Aaptamitra and earned appreciation from both the celebrities in front of the huge crowd. The programme was telecast on Zee Kannada.
She was also honoured for her achievements by the mayor of the city at Town Hall in 2005, Mumbai Stanik Brahmins association in 2006 in Mumbai and city's Lions Club in 2007. Her young heart even chose to celebrate her birthday in one of the orphanages.
She has recieved constant support from her parents and school teaching staff, headmistress and management. Her source of inspiration have been her classical dance teachers Geetha Saralaya and Rashmi Saralaya of Nritya Bharati.
