Mangalore: Indian Coast Guard Demonstrates  Search and Rescue Activities

Mangalore, Feb 2:The Indian Coast Guard gave a spectacular demonstration of  its various  activities  in the deep sea as part of their 44th  Anniversary Day Celebrations on Saturday, February 2.











Indian Coast Guard ships Vivek, Savitri Bhai Phule, Kasturba Gandhi and Anni Besant  participated in this demonstration.  Meanwhile, 'Chetak'  the Indian fleet helicopter led the search and rescue operation. Among other displays were also the pistol firing, light machine gun firing, heavy machine gun firing and overtaking of ships .

Manoj Bhatkar, Coast Guard Karnataka Headquarters Commandant, Commandant G S Ralhi and other senior Coast Guard officers were present on this occasion. More than 500 government staff, family members of the Coast Guard personnel and media persons were present for this programme.
