by Abdul Razak - Dubai

Dubai, Feb 4: As part of the 59th Indian Republic Day Celebration, Emirates India Fraternity Forum (EIFF) organized a gathering of Indian expatriates at Eat & Drink Auditorium Party Hall in Garhoud, Dubai recently. The programme started with the recitation of the Holy Quran and followed by National Anthem of United Arab Emirates and India.

Abdul Razak (President of EIFF) delivered the presidential address emphasizing more on education for every Indian and upliftment of minority in India, he also briefed about the objectives of EIFF which includes educating the expatriates about the rules, values and regulations of UAE, strengthen and unite the scattered voices of Indian expats and to bring them under a common umbrella, address the severe problems faced by the working class etc.

The chief guest for the evening Syed Shahabuddin (former ambassador and ex-Member of Parliament) gave the keynote address and inaugurated Emirates India Fraternity Forum. In the speech delivered by the guest he pointed out the relevant factors which will lead for a safer India.

He mainly stressed the protection of rights of marginalized, backward and weaker sections of the society and highlighted that there are some fascist groups who are not only the enemy of Muslims in India but also the enemy of India which obstructs the development, unity, integrity and fraternity of the country. He spoke on the necessity of actual and proper implementation of Commission reports (especially Mishra Report) on the reservation of employment for the Muslim and back ward classes. He spoke that for a country to grow there has to be equal rights to every Indian citizen and his major emphasis was to take action as per the Sachar Committee Report and also advised the fraternity forum committee to work for a better and brighter India.

There were approximately 500 people who attended the function.

The chief guest was awarded a momento for this continuous support for not only the Muslim community but also the backward class in the country.

Javed Farhan proposed the vote of thanks to the audience.

In the Fifty ninth year of republic,we could pitch this as a mark of self confidence. India's muslims and minority is in serious danger of slipping into an illusory world of well being. Farmer suicides, social inequality and caste prejudices are major illness in india. And this will devide the nation. In this situation Emirates India Fraternity Forum (EIFF) have taken very good step ahead. All the good wishes, and may Almighty succeed your goal.Keep on good works...........
