Mangalore, Feb 6: “Taking part or participation in dramas woill definitely help in the personality development and thus gift an ideal citizen to the nation,” said Na Da Shetty, head of department of Kannada, St Aloysius College.
He was addressing the gathering during the valedictory ceremony of high school-level Tulu drama competitions, held by Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy at Don Bosco Hall here on Wednesday February 6.
In the earlier days, Aloysius College used to stage dramas in both Kannada and Tulu. The dramas staged in Tulu were viewed by comparatively large number of people and students. This clearly indicates that Tulu has large audience. It is also true that it lacks encouragement among youngsters, hence the rejuvenation of Tulu drama is long cherished hope, he added.
KK Gatti, writer, delivered the valedictory address.
The concluding ceremony was presided over by MK Sitaram Kulal, president of Tulu Sahitya Academy.
Harish welcomed the gathering and introduced the dignitaries.
