Spirits Soar High at Billawa Dubia & NE Annual Sports Meet

Dubai, Feb 9: Billawas Dubai & Northern Emirates conducted annual sports event in the cold weather at Wanderers Club Sharjah on Friday February 8.
 
The event started at 10.00 am a welcome speech by president Umesh Kuckian. Approximately 350 people had gathered to enjoy the games and large number of people irrespective of age participated in the event.
 
The event was inaugurated by a well-known Billawa personality Purshottam Salian and his wife. This was followed by march-past led by Madhav Poojary, the sports secretary of Billawas Dubai and Northern Emirates.
 
Various sports and games events were held throughout the day. Among all three-legged-race, ladies human wheel barrow and bowl-out game were the special attraction of the day. Delicious lunch was served to all on behalf of Billwas Dubai and Northern Emirates.

Prize distributing ceremony was held after the games. Prominent Billawa personalites Suresh Amin, Praveen Kumar, Mohan Attavar, Uday Kumar and   Dayanand Bangera who were present on the dais distributed the prizes followed by raffle draw.
 
The event concluded with vote of thanks by general secretary Satish Poojary.
