Udupi: MGM NCC Cadets Bhagyashree, Nagraj Bag National Awards

Udupi, Feb 15: Nagaraj Hegde and Bhagyashree, III BSc students of MGM College and petty officer cadets of NCC Naval Wing, represented Karnataka and Goa NCC directorate during the Republic-Day parade, held in New Delhi recently.

Bhagyashree has bagged gold medal in open class-ship model competitions and silver medal in sailing model while Nagraj Hegde, bagged silver medal in sailing model.  Both of them were privileged to take part in Prime Minister’s rally.    MGM College NCC naval wing had also bagged gold medal in ship model competitions held during All-India Nava Sainik camp at Vishakapattanam, last year.  

Nagraj Hegde, Bhagyashree and another petty officer cadet, Mujahid and Lt Col Anand Shirali, alumnus of the college who is serving in Indian Army, was held at 3.30 pm on Friday February 15.

    Congratulations for both of them.Im sure they are the products of their trainer SMI Parashuram.He is the man behind them.And Lt.Anand shirali was my batch mate in Republic day CAMP 2002.I wish all of them bright future.Please make use of all the opportunitoes in NCC,those days will never come again.
