Puttur: Scouts and Guides Embarks upon Cycle Rally on Mission to Save Earth

Puttur, Feb 18: The bicycle rally of taluk scouts and guides unit from the city till Narahari hill, located at Kalladka in Bantwal was flagged off by Shivaramayya, Block Education Officer (BEO) at 8.00 a m on Sunday February 17 at Sri Mahalingeshwar temple. 



 

The cycle rally by scouts and guides was embarked upon with the theme ‘save Earth, conserve living creatures’ with active participation of Ganapati, president of taluk scouts and guides unit, H Sridar, secretary, Dr Shreesha Kumar, chief of Rovers led by Prof Ram Mohan Rao.

 

The street plays were held at various locations en route the rally by the participants, in order to create peoples awareness on eco-environment, preserve bio-diversity and conserve water borne species. 







Around 125 scouts and guides have participated in this cycle rally that was held for the fifth consecutive year.
