Bahrain: Y S Shetty Couple Given Warm Farewell

Bahrain, Feb 19: Y S Shetty and Vinaya S Shetty, senior Bunts couple who have made Bahrain their abode for the last 38 years are now leaving Bahrain for good at the end of February.  Y S Shetty who was working for M/s Batelco has decided to settle down in his native Kundapur.  The couple who have been the backbone of community activities in Bahrain have two children.

Y S Shetty had served as the president of Bahrain Kannada Sangha for two terms and till date he has been the main organizer of Bridge Tournament in Bahrain.  He is also a leading server in Chinmaya Society.

Bunts Bahrain organized a farewell party in honour of Y S Shetty and Vinaya Shetty at Ramee International Hotel recently. Indian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Dr Balakrishna Shetty was the chief guest on the occasion.  In the course of his speech he wished all that is best to Y S Shetty in the days to come.

Pradeep Shetty welcomed the gathering while Jagannath Shetty introduced Y S Shetty to the gathering.  Prashant Rai, Mangalore entertained the audience with his melodious musical nite.  He was accompanied by Amar Rai, K B Shetty and Pratima A Shetty.  Sudhir Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
