Jammu, Jun 16: Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha declared on Monday that any terrorist attack in the Union Territory will be considered an act of war, sending a stern message to Pakistan and its proxies. He was speaking at the passing out parade of police officers at the Udhampur Police Academy.

"Complete eradication of terrorism from J&K is our top priority," said Sinha, calling on the J&K Police to adopt a multi-pronged strategy using intelligence, technology, and community engagement. He also urged the force to leverage modern tools like artificial intelligence to counter cyber threats and disinformation.

Commending the police for their service under tough conditions, Sinha said, “J&K Police is playing a crucial role in maintaining national integrity and internal security.”

During the ceremony, 49 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs) and 1,112 Probationary Sub-Inspectors (PSIs) completed their training and are set to begin field duty.

L-G Sinha lauded their dedication and emphasized the need for the force to uphold truth, justice, and good governance. “The entire nation respects J&K Police for their professionalism and bravery in handling complex security challenges,” he said.
