Clashes erupt in Kashmir village

Srinagar, Mar 4 (IANS): Clashes erupted on Saturday between protesters and security forces near Kashmir's Shopian district, police said

The clashes took place in Sugan village adjacent to Chillipora village where a gunfight had started on Friday between security forces and holed-up militants.

However, the militants reportedly escaped later on Friday night, the police said.
