Dubai: Karnataka Sangha Gears-up for 'Stars Musical Nite'

Dubai, Mar 8: In the run-up to the 'Stars Musical Nite' a mega event to be hosted by Zee Kannada in association with Karnataka Sangha, Dubai on April 11, Sangha president C R Shetty launched various paraphernalia related to the programme at Hotel President, Karama here on Friday March 7.

For the first time in the history of Sandalwood, 30 stars from the Kannada film industry will come together to present a show outside India. Zee Kannada will be telecasting the entire show.

This mega musical event is a fund raising programme for the 'Emergency Assistance for Kannadigas in the Emirate' which will assist the needy Kannadigas.

President C R Shetty also announced the silver jubilee of the Karnataka Sangha in the year 2009 and said that the Sangha will hold several events to mark the occasion starting this month. On behalf of Karnataka Sangha Dubai he invited all the interested Kannadigas to join the event organizing committee to promote Kannada during the year-long celebrations. Those interested may contact the executive committee members.

 

General secretary K R Tantry welcomed the members of the event organizing committee and briefed about the sponsorship opportunities.
