Mumbai, Mar 10: The 81st annual day celebration of Bunts association, Mumbai was celebrated Radhabai T Bhandari auditorium here on Saturday March 8.

Former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda was the chief guest on the occasion. Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the celebration, Gowda said “Perhaps this is one of the rare functions which has given importance to artistes and their talents than just coming together and having fun. Bunts community has always been in the forefront of community activities. Do continue with the same spirit and contribute for promoting unity in the society.”

Sandalwood stars Ravichandran, Ramkumar, Ganesh, former minister Subbayya Shetty, Prakash Shetty, chairman of MRGA Group and M D Shetty were the guests of the honour on the occasion.  Association president Dr Padmanabh V Shetty presided over the function.

Hoteliers Ravindra Arasa of Jyothi Refreshments, Shankar Shetty Annavar of Sanjog, B Vivek Shetty and Rama V Shetty of Vishwath Chemicals, Mahesh Shetty and Roopa Shetty of Mahesh Tutorials Anni C Shetty and Indira Shetty, M Shetty of Gayatri Parivar, Shanta Gundu Shetty of Sarfes Graphics, Kriti I R Shetty, first women pilot from Bunts community, Anupa Shetty, pilot of Jet Airways were felicitated on the occasion. 

Association vice-president Aikala Harish Shetty, honorrory treasurer C A Sanjeev Shetty, joint secretary Jaya A Shetty, education committee working president Karnire Vishwanath Shetty, Women’s division working president Sujaya R Shetty, youth division working president Anand P Shetty, sports committee working president Mahesh Shetty and others were present on the occasion.
