Former SP leader Gaurav Bhatia joins BJP


New Delhi, April 2 (IANS): Former Samajwadi Party leader Gaurav Bhatia on Sunday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party here.

Bhatia had resigned from Samajwadi Party on February 5 ahead of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, saying it was becoming difficult for him to continue serving the party "when it is compromising the very principles of democracy, secularism and socialism that I have always believed in".

    Gaurav Bhatia was a very smart, intelligent spokesperson of SP and had defended party during the notorious Goonda Raj in UP...However looks like he is BJP's win now, might be gifted with a RS MP seat too
