Dubai: Pangalites organize Lenten Blood Donation drive

Dubai, Apr 11: The UAE Pangalites organized their fourth Lenten Blood Donation Camp under the slogan 'Give Blood, Save Life' on Friday March 24 from 11.30 am to 2.30 pm at the Latifa Hospital (Al Wasl).

More than 100 people participated in the drive and around 64 people were able to donate their blood. By coming to the centre to donate blood the health condition of an individual can be determined thereby being able to take care of health in a wise and timely manner.

Prominent among the donors were Joseph Mathias and Nelson Rodricks who have always supported their social activities. Balakrishna Salian of Mogaveeras, UAE the main coordinator was also present and exchanged his views with the donors.

Blood donation is a part of everyone’s life as it not only helps to save the life of a needy patient, but also helps the donor with good health. More the blood donated, healthier one remains. It also strengthens the bond of togetherness and instils a sense of being a good human being by helping others. It is part of community service and is everyone’s responsibility to donate blood.

Sunil D’Souza of Emirates Pangalites thanked everyone who supported their Blood Donation Drive.
