Mumbai, Mar 17: Eleven persons were killed and 45 injured in a major fire that broke out in an industrial estate in central Mumbai on Monday.
Many people are feared trapped in the fire that broke out in the Retiwala industrial estate in the Byculla area at around 3:30 pm.
Injured people have been rushed to KEM, JJ and Nair Hospital. Of the 45 persons injured in the fire, one is in serious condition while others have received minor burns, Dean of JJ Hospital P Shingare said.
Fire fighting operations are still on, fire officials said. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
