Mumbai, Mar 21: The Versova police on Wednesday registered a non-cognisable offence (NC) against Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut and her sister, Rangoli, after their driver complained of being roughed up by them. R Sahu (26), the complainant, also alleged that the actor had abused him verbally in the past. When contacted, the actor refused to comment.

According to the police, the case dates back to March 9. Kangana and Rangoli were travelling in their car from Bandra towards Versova for a film shoot. "As Sahu was speeding and driving rashly, Kangana asked him to drive carefully. She added that he hadn’t been driving properly for the past four to five months. This triggered an argument between Sahu and the sisters," a police officer said. Sahu alleged that Rangoli slapped him and the sisters sacked him from the job soon after.

Sahu also told the police that the sisters hadn’t paid his salary for the present month. He alleged that when he went to the actor’s residence to demand his dues on Tuesday, but he was threatened by Rangoli.

"Sahu then came to the Versova police station on Wednesday night and registered an NC against the Ranaut sisters. But the sisters will not be questioned, since the offence is not cognisable in nature," a senior official said.

The actor has featured in popular films like Gangster and Life in a Metro.
