London, Mar 25: To share the joy and peace of risen Lord, Mangalorean United Konkani Association (MUKA) organized the Easter celebration at Bramcote Memorial Hall, Nottingham on Sunday March 23.

The celebration began with a Konkani mass offered by Fr Anthony G Pinto.

The Konkani hymn by MUKA members led by Deepak Alvares on base guitar was outstanding.

The members of KCA Manchester and U K Konkans London also attended the Easter celebrations in large number doubling the Easter joy.

Stage setting and hall decorated by ‘Walts Décor’ owned by Walter Rodrigues Mansfield, was marvelous.

After the mass, all gathered to watch the cultural events and to keep up the Mangalorean tradition alive. Beverages were served to all.

The day-long activity began with a welcome speech by Jeevan Menezes, followed by the welcome song. The annual report was read by Sunita Rodrigues and annual audit report was presented by Conrad Aranha.

KCA, Manchester and U K Konkans London, also entertained the crowd with their skits and songs besides MUKA members.  Housie-Housie was conducted by Sunil and Praveen for the crowd and the prizes were distributed to the winners.

Delicious traditional Mangalorean food was served to all which was prepared by various MUKA members.

Pius Rasquinha proposed vote of thanks.  Sunil D’Cunha compered the programme along with Praveen D’Souza. The event ended with a prayer-hymn.
