Mangalore, Mar 31: In a major breakthrough, District Crime Investigation Bureau (DCIB) police headed by inspector T B Rajanna, has been successful in nabbing an inter-state thief on Sunday, March 30.

 The arrested person has been identified as Ramachandran alias Suresh (40), a native of Neyyatinkkara in Trivandrum. Kerala police were on the look-out for him in a total of 23 cases, including 12 in Trivandrum and 11 in Malappuram.











 Meanwhile, Karnataka police were searching for him in connection with a total of six theft cases, which have occurred in places like Ullal, Someshwar, Kumpala and Talapadi.

 Ramachandran is known for stealing precious items from houses and temples during the night hours. Police have seized 160 grams of gold, weapons like knife, hammer, cutting pliers, gas cutter etc. Police have initiated a probe into the matter to find out if he is involved in any other incidents of theft as well.
