Udupi, Mar 31: The 22nd convocation of TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) was organised in Manipal here on Saturday March 29.
Delivering the keynote inaugural address Habil Khorakiwala, chairman of Wockhardt Ltd (Mumbai) giving some important pointers to students opined, 'Picking up the right aspect of knowledge, especially in higher education, is a challenge for students.' In this context he advised that in this era of globalization, students should work hard in order to be successful.

Further Habil elucidated that in this fast changing global arena, management students need to do their best to keep pace with the progress made in the world. He in fact averred that the country will be developing in all spheres in the coming years and will emerge as a global leader. "Indians are being treated with great respect abroad, thanks to our economic growth,” he lauded.
On the occasion Rajani Khetan was conferred the 'AgroEvo Student Award' (best outgoing student award) along with three other awards for excelling in academics. Rishabh Gupta and Chairyu Patel were conferred the second and third best outgoing student awards, respectively. For the category 'Performance in Marketing,' Arpita Khadria bagged a special award.
According to director Nagabrahmam 128 students of which 95 were men and 33 women were conferred the post-graduate diploma in MBA. Moreover fifty-five students who had passed the Executive Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (EPGDM) in TAPMI’s Bangalore campus and 29 executives trained in TAPMI were given diplomas.
Also present on the occasion were K K Pai, chairman of the governing council of TAPMI, H S Ballal, pro-chancellor of Manipal University, P D Shenoy, former Union secretary, and J B Shetty, former chairman of Canara Bank.
