Mangalore: Month-long Heart Care Camp Inaugurated at Fr Muller

Mangalore, Apl 2: Mangalore City Corporation has taken all necessary measures to ensure better governance by addressing problems faced by the city effectively, said Ganesh Hosabettu, mayor of Mangalore City Corporation.

He was delivering the inaugural address at a month-long heart care camp conducted by Department of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery of Fr Muller Medical College Hospital at the conference hall here on Wednesday April 2.

Mangalore city requires 25 to 30 million gallon litres of water per day. But owing to leakage and poor maintenance the city can utilize only 18 million gallon litres of water per day. Mangalore City Corporation has taken initiatives to lay down pipeline in order to address the water crisis effectively, he added.

The camp is conducted mainly to inform general public about heart-related complications, said Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director of Fr Muller College Institutions in his presidential address.  

Satheesh Kumar, SP of DK  who was the chief guest on the ocacsion also spoke on the occasion.  Fr Denis D'Sa introduced the chief guest and the inaugurator.   

Students, faculty of the institution and others were present on the occasion.
