Dubai, May 22: Indradhanush celebrating 'Colors of Indian Art' is a popular platform and initiative, created by the Indian Consulate here to promote various artists, art forms and continue the propagation of Indian culture.
On Thursday May 25, Devaki Pandit, one of the most popular and versatile young maestros of Hindustani classical singing will present her repertoire of classical and semi classical musical forms at Indian Consulate Auditorium. The gates of the auditorium will open at 7.30 pm and the concert will begin from 8 pm onwards.
Devaki Pandit a talented, versatile musician vocalist pursues her quest towards musical excellence with unabated zeal and determination. Her faith in her gurus pandit Vasantrao Kulkarni, Pandit Haldankar, Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki and Kishori Amonkar is total. They have inspired her to widen her horizons and imbibe different genres and develop her own style. Being at ease with all the genres of music, her repertoire spans from traditional classical music to bhajans, ghazals, film songs, fusion music. Performing for varied audiences in India and abroad, composing for some memorable albums and even an occasional stint in teaching at Czaikoskvy University Moscow has broadened her perspective.
She has won over audiences in India and across oceans and has performed at various prestigious music festivals like the Sawai Gandharv Sangeet Mahotsav, Maihar conference, Tansen Samaroh, Elephanta Festival, Devgandharv Sangeet Mahotsav, Abhishkeki Mahotsav, Spiritual Unity Concerts for universal integration.
She has several music albums to her credit and has won many awards including one from the President of India. Devaki Pandit is accompanied by Prashant Pandav on the tabla and Siddhesh Bicholkar on the harmonium.
