Udupi: 'Centre Displaying Step-motherly Attitude towards State'

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (KD)

Udupi, Apr 3: 'Tamil Nadu has already proved its liability by performing the stone laying foundation at Hogenakal falls' criticized former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa and urged the government at the centre to issue a joint survey order without further delay.

'The centre is displaying a step-motherly attitude towards the state, whether it is in regard to the railway budget or in announcing a classical status for the state,' alleged Yeddyurappa while addressing press persons here on Wednesday April 2.

Further lambasting the centre, he said that it has made the state a scape-goat due to which the latter is presently suffering the consequences. For the victims of the recent rain havoc a compensation of Rs 250 crore should have been sanctioned, he averred.

Yeddyurappa threatened to launch an agitation if the district administration failed to act on the 36,000 applications received for Sandhya Suraksha Yojane within two days.

The central government should categorically clarify the amount allotted for the state under farmer’s loan waiver scheme of Rs 60,000 crore as announced in the recent budget, he further demanded.

According to him as many as 11,62,000 beneficiaries were entitled to the farmer loan waiver scheme announced by the then coalition government.
