Udupi: 'Special Schools Need More Government Aid'

Udupi, Apr 4: Parents must admit special children to special schools instead of neglecting them, suggested industrialist Pramod Madvaraj.

He was delivering then inaugural address at the two-day Special Olympics for special children organized by Lions district governors organizing committee in association with the members of Lions district 324 D4 at Asha Nilaya here on Thursday April 3.

Government must provide grants to special schools and thus enable them to accommodate and bring talents of the special children to the fore, he added.

Dr BS Naga Prakash, governor of Lions 324 D4 presided over the inaugural ceremony and Vijay Laxmi Shenoy, assistant director of woman and children welfare department was the chief guest for the day.   

Ravindranath Shetty, Suresh Shetty, Henry D`Souza, Jayakar Shetty of Lions Club and others were present on the occasion.
