Mangalore, Apr 5: Dalit Sangharsha Samithi (Ambedkarism) will observe the 117th birth anniversary of Dr Baba Saheb Ambedakar at Sri Ravindra Kala Bhavan, University College here on Monday April 14, said P Keshava, convener here at a press conference here on Friday April 5.
M Kaveriappa, VC of Mangalore University will inaugurate the celebrations and Manjunatha Annigery of SPCRE cell will preside over the celebrations. Achievers will be felicitated on the occasion. BA Moiddin Bava, industrialist and others will be the chief guests, he added.
The Samiti will not support any political party in the forthcoming assembly polls, but the Samiti will definitely think of defeating the candidates who have anti-Dalit attitude in the impending polls, he added.
Other office-bearers of the Samiti were present on the occasion.
