Protesters clash with security forces in Srinagar


Srinagar, Jun 2 (IANS): Clashes broke out after Friday prayers in Srinagar's Old City as protesters stoned security personnel.

Police said a group of demonstrators shouting pro-Azadi slogans resorted to stone pelting in Nowhatta area.

"Security forces used tear smoke and batons to chase away the protesters," an official said. "Nobody was injured in the clashes."
