Bantwal, Apr 8: Heritage Material Science Course, which is not getting priority nowadays, should be started in every University of the country, said the chairman of the union administrative reforms commission Veerappa Moily.
He was replying to a query forwarded by vice-chancellor of Kuvempu University B S Sherigar at the valedictory of national-level symposium that was held as part of the inauguration of Rani Abbakka Tulu Research centre and Tulu Baduku museum at B C Road here.
Eminest writer Erya Laxminarayana Alva presided over the function. Dr Palthady Ramakrishna Achar delivered the valedictory note. Even though there are many museums in the country, Tulu Baduku has its own significance, he added.
Vice-chancellor of Kuvempu University B S Sherigar, Mangalore University Kannada Department head Dr K Chinnappa Gowda, ex-minister B Nagaraj Shetty, former MLA Padmanabha Kottari, Bantwal taluk panchayath president Chandrahas Shetty Bolanthoor were chief guests on this occasion.
