MP farmers' stir: Rahul leaves for Mandsaur, police say they will stop him

New Delhi/Mandsaur (MP), Jun 8 (PTI): Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today left Delhi for Mandsaur where five farmers were killed during protests earlier this week even as the local police made it clear that he will not be allowed to enter the district.

Gandhi left this morning for the district and would enter Madhya Pradesh from Rajasthan.

However, Superintendent of Police of Neemuch Manoj Kumar Singh said the Congress leader will not be allowed to enter the violence-hit district where the situation remains tense.

If the Congress leader tries to enter the district, he will be detained, the SP said.

The Congress yesterday termed as "coldblooded murder" the killing of five farmers in police firing in Madhya Pradesh and questioned the prime minister's silence over it.

The Congress accused the BJP of "acting as a curse of death for Indian farmers".

AICC spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi said yesterday that it was insulting and unfortunate that the BJP-led NDA government was in denial mode over the firing and accused it of spreading rumours and canards over who fuelled the farmers' protest.

He also hit out at the BJP for denying permission to people who wanted to go and express solidarity with the bereaved farmers, including Gandhi.

The Congress vice president is visiting Mandsaur to meet the kin of the five persons who were killed in violence during the farmers' agitation.

Five persons were killed on Tuesday as the farmers' agitation turned violent in Mandsaur, prompting the authorities to clamp curfew in the trouble-hit area.

Mandsaur has been on the boil since the farmers' agitation in the district turned violent.

Farmers in western Madhya Pradesh are protesting since June 1 over various demands.

We could see your confidence in brainwashing tactics. You can guys can win by spoiling opposition party name, carrying out CBI raids & harassing people who go against you. You can not win by any of your achievements. Mind it.

Yesterday Madhya Pradesh Home Minister was saying "Police did not fire... Nobody died". Today he agreed farmers died because of Police firing! Why your leaders lie always?

Congress is corrupt... but still better than BJP yaar... At least people live peacefully when Congress ruling. During BJP problems only. Andu-Paandu leaders are fit for barking nonsense only. They doesn't know how to run Govt, how to manage situation.

Last month, hundreds of farmers from TN were on strike for one whole month, that too in New Delhi. Nothing happened. What we are seeing in MP and Maha are complete destruction and instigation by CONgress goondas who want the BJP Govts there to get bad name

Yes, exactly. CONgress is unable to defeat BJP in elections. A photo was circulated on FB where 2 'farmers' were found wearing jeans pants and one of them was wearing sun glasses. One guy was a MP CONgress leader!

Farmers are protesting across the country. All that Modi Govt and BJP done is call them as Anti-socials and Anti-nationals. Many have died because of bullets fired by police.

Media has not taken their agitation in their headlines. Why? It shows media specially TIMES, REPUBLIC TV are very economical in their truth. Their only agenda seems to be a propaganda channels to carry out BJP politics. Not sure, what made and when they diverted from PRO-INDIA to PRO-BJP, but it is a case since 2010, after Reddy Bro's arrests for mining scams.

Since, this is the situation, there is no harm Rahul meeting the farmers, atleast it may get some publicity whether it is good or bad.

As a responsible citizen, Rahul Gandhi should let the tensions cool by itself. Give it a little time.
Do not go there and add oil to the fire.

Farmers have been killed by Police & CM and Home Minister of MP is denying Police fired bullets!

Initially Home Minister released statement, "Nobody died" & later when the true story came out... CM started crying, "Kaangress.... kaangress"! Even "VyapamGate" scandal too was result of BJPs misrule... but they say "Hum toh Clean hai... we don't indulge in corruption anytime"!

Regarding farmers protest.... I hold UP CM Yogi & FEKU responsible... Actually Yogi is 'match ka mujrim' or Game Spoiler...

FEKU & DAKU to achieve their secret "Agenda", made Yogi CM of UP.... Yogi to become "Great leader" or Hero, promised farmers "Waive off of Loan"... When Yogi approached Central Govt for help... Jaitly & RBI rejected his request.. Jaitly said - "If any state wants to waive off loan of farmers, let them manage them from their state fund/treasury.. Central Govt will not help"... RBI said - "Loan waive off will create financial havoc in the country"... Yogi came back scratching his "Bor mande"... UP farmers are waiting for Yogi now to fulfill his promise. Tough days for him.
Looking at UPs 'Loan waiver' offer... MP, Haryana, Rajastan, Maharastra farmers started demanding their respective state Govt... "If UP can, why can't you"?

See... how a 'immature ruler' can impact the financial and social atmosphere!!!

So there are no poor farmers in non BJP ruled states. Why are such violent protests happening in BJP ruled states only? In TN, farmers went to Delhi to protest because there was no BJP govt in TN. This is nothing but an attempt to defame BJP. This is already out on social media. CONgressis you will lose again!

Did I say, only BJP ruled state have poor farmers? Poor farmers are there across India. But farmers in BJP ruled states are upset over BJP Govt because of the fake promises made by them is not being fulfilled. Why do they fool poor farmers, just sake of getting votes?
Did you hear FEKU screaming during last LS election rallies "Farmers are not beggars. Give them their rights. If I become PM, my priority will be farmers".. bla bla bla.... What did he do for farmers in past 3 years? FM Jaitly clearly said, Central Govt can not help any state govt to waive off loan, then from where money will come?

What has CONgress govt done for farmers? In UP, BJP had their loans waived and this will soon be followed in Maharashtra. And this great 'Prince' of yours, loots farmers when they are in power, and when they are not in power, he goes for photo ops. Since CONgress can't defeat BJP, they are indulging in violence. We will always expose this LOOTERS party

It won't make sense if Rajiv or Modi goes there. What the farmers need is the financial and moral help. Please contribute some money and give them. If it is not possible, then please stay away.
