Mangalore, Apr 10: It was a moment of pride for scores of parents as their children showcased their talents at the 'Samudayadatta Shaale' programme organized by the state public instructions department here on Wednesday April 9.
The programme was successful in terms of participation of parents and pupils, said deputy director of public instructions (DDPI) Chame Gowda. The programme also gave a big boost to the confidence of the children while also making the parents aware of their children's latent talents.
The programme, held in all the government schools, also saw the participation of gram panchayat heads and members in some of the areas. However, some of the schools did not recieve as much response as others.
As part of the feedback on the programme, parents were asked to write down in diaries as to how their children's talents could be nourished. The programme also took the opportunity to advise the parents on why attendance in schools is of utmost importance for the progress of their children.
