Madhya Pradesh farmers protest : Rahul Gandhi detained enroute to Mandsaur

MP, Jun 8 (IT) : Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and other party leaders were taken into preventive custody at Neemuch on Rajasthan-Madhya Pradesh border today as they tried to reach Mandsaur where five farmers were killed in police firing on Tuesday.

"I just want to meet the farmers. If your ideology is not that of the RSS, you are not allowed to enter Madhya Pradesh," Rahul Gandhi told reporters after his detention. "Modiji has waived loans of big corporate houses but he can give only goli (bullets) to farmers of the country," the Congress leader said.

Earlier, the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government admitted that the farmers were killed in police firing after initially denying any police action against the protesting farmers.

"It was investigated and proved that the death of farmers happened because of police firing. Initially, the details provided to me were that police firing did not cause the death of farmers. However, I later amended my statement as soon as I received the right information," Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Bhupendra Singh said.

..a girl love marriage a DALIT boy..girls family chased couple and girl was burnt alive... this news is from Karnataka..no outcry..no news saying attack on Dalit..no award wapsi... no congress, no bsp, no communist..Rahul dont have time to visit DALIT family or condole girl death..

MP agitation is fueled by Congress for sure, truth will come out soon..more you pamper people, more you will invite trouble..farmers are not different from small scale entrepreneur or daily wage earner..every one working hard to live..no on here doing charity..but no one cares others, only sops to farmers, loan waiver so on..if Congress fuels riots today, tomorrow they will face it in karnataka..be ready..
