Mangalore University Awards PhD to Denis Fernandes

Mangalore, Apr 10: The Mangalore University has awarded PhD to Denis Fernandes, a history lecturer of St Aloysius College on ‘The Tulu World in European Writings.’

He prepared his thesis under the guidance of Prof Surendra Rao, professor of history, Mangalore University. Denis Fernandes has been working as a lecturer at St Aloysius College since 1992. Earlier, he was lecturer at Bhandarkar’s College, Kundapur and Poorna Prajna Evening College, Udupi. He had completed his post graduation in history from Mangalore University in 1989.

Basically, he is a resident of Moodubelle. He did his basic education at Moodubelle and PUC at St Aloysius College. He completed his degree at St Mary’s College at Shirva.

Denis is married to Janitha Fernandes who is a lecturer at Milagres P U College.  They have two children.
