Kerala Youth Congress workers arrested for holding beef fest

Kochi, Jun 17 (IANS): Police on Saturday arrested Kerala Youth Congress workers who held a beef festival ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's arrival in the coastal city.

The festival took place near the Southern Naval Command's air terminal where Modi is expected to arrive and inaugurate the state's first metro line.

As the Youth Congress workers were arrested while they were cooking and serving beef.

Ever since the Centre launched new rules regarding cattle sale and slaughter, Kerala has witnessed numerous such protests and even the state assembly held a special session earlier this month to pass a resolution against it.

    In India apart from minorities there are millions of OBC's, South Indians, North Easterners, Tribals, Dalits and people from the majority community who eat beef.

    sanghis and bhakts MUST stop their dirty habit of forcing their upper class beliefs down our throats.

    If people get to eat food of their choice, they will live to protest against all wrong doings.

    Meanwhile, while we are on the subject of stopping cross-border attacks...what is 56'inch doing? bjp had promised that all attacks will end once "Mr. 56 inch chest" becomes leader......moreover even demonetization was supposed to end all such attacks.

    Yesterday was Friday. We had beef biryani. India beef is available in plenty in Saudi Arabia. Thanks to BJP for not banning beef export. I like to eat beef dishes at least 3 times a week. Harish Hedge, Aramco, if you want to know my location, please let me know. We can meet in KSA someday during these Eid Holidays. I have very good Saudi buddies working for Aramco as Chemical Engineers.

    Eat Pork, beef, fish, mutton, chicken, vegetable which ever one pleases to eat. Do not peep in to the kitchen or fridge of neighbors like bad boys. Live and let live. Eat and let eat. Do not steal the freedom of citizens in a democracy.
