Gujarat announces Rs 10 lakh for Amarnath victims


Surat, Jul 11 (IANS): The Gujarat government on Tuesday announced Rs 10 lakh compensation for the kin of each of the Amarnath pilgrims killed by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.

Another Rs 2 lakh would be given to each of the injured, Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel said. Most of the dead and injured in the Monday attack were from Gujarat.
