Grand Alliance intact, allegations a conspiracy: Tejashwi Yadav

Patna, Jul 12 (IANS): RJD leader and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday said the state's ruling Grand Alliance is intact, and called the corruption allegations against his family a "conspiracy".

"These are not allegations, it is a conspiracy," Tejashwi Yadav, the son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad, said after a meeting of the state cabinet.

"The Grand Alliance is intact," he said.

"We will go to the people and present the facts to them... People have sent us here," he said.

The CBI had registered a case and conducted raids on the residence of Lalu Prasad, his wife Rabri Devi, Tejashwi Yadav, former Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Managing Director P.K. Goyal, and Lalu Prasad's confidante Prem Chand Gupta's wife regarding award of the tender for development, maintenance and operation of railway hotels in Ranchi and Puri in 2006.

In the same year, the hotels were transferred to the railway corporation.

Lalu Prasad was the Railway Minister between 2004 and 2009.
