Kolkata, Jul 20 (IANS): The Criminal Investigation Department of West Bengal has summoned four BJP leaders, including Kailash Vijayvargiya and Roopa Ganguly, in connection with a child trafficking case in the state, an official said.
The leaders have been asked to be present at state CID headquarters in Bhabani Bhawan on July 27 and 29 for inquiry in the case that came to light on February 19 when a complaint was registered at the Jalpaiguri police station.
The names of Bharatiya Janata Party General Secretary Vijayvargiya and Rajya Sabha member Ganguly surfaced in the case after a series of arrests, including those of political leaders and state government officials.
Juhi Chowdhury, BJP's women's wing leader form Jalpaiguri, after her arrest in February revealed her connection with actor-turned-politician Roopa Ganguly, while Vihayvargiya's name also came up, triggering a political controversy in the state.
The CID sleuths had earlier arrested six people for selling at least 17 children through shady adoption deals.
The arrested were Darjeeling former DCPO Mrinal Ghosh, Darjeeling Child Welfare Committee member Debasish Chanda, chairperson of the accused child adoption centre Chandana Chakraborty, Chief Adoption Officer Sonali Mondal and Chakraborty's aide Manas Bhowmik besides Juhi Chowdhury.

Thu, Jul 20 2017Over the past few months, the BJP, accused of causing communal violence to flare up in West Bengal, has been the cause of much controversy in the state. Adding fuel to the fire, on 14 July, BJP MP Roopa Ganguly made a statement that has raised more than a few eyebrows.
The former Mahabharata actress dared "all the parties, the ones who keep flattering the Bengal government and Congress, to send their daughters, wives, and sister-in-laws to Bengal without taking any hospitality from Banerjee. If they are able to survive for 15 days without getting raped, then tell me."
Draupadi insults Bengal and her rape comment draws outrage. Now she herself is booked under 'child trafficking'.
When her party ruled states of Haryana 3 year gets reaped with more than 6 needles pierced in her under skin Roopa has no problem.
If one remembers, this is the same party used rape as a political weapon against former CM Sheila Dixit government which mobilised youth to oust her. Interesting Madhya Pradesh remains to be rape abused state in India under BJP.

Thu, Jul 20 2017If this way BJP grows in Bengal then what will happen to Bengal if they win. If you force these BJP ideologies in the US you will be thrashed by the public first then put behind bars. You have to observe and follow secular and tolerant ideologies there. Hypocrite.
