Udupi: Vikas Ratha on BJP's Development Works Flagged-off

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (AF)

Udupi, May 1: As election battle heats up, political parties and their candidates are doing their utmost to please the voters. The 'Vikas Ratha' of BJP candidate K Raghupati Bhat was flagged-off at the BJP's district office here on Wednesday April 30 following a small ceremony.

The vehicle was flagged-off by senior BJP leader Somashekar Bhat.

The Vikas Yatra is unique in its own way in that it is made of cut-outs of two horses pulling a chariot. The vehicle itself is in the form of a lotus symbolizing BJP. It has been fitted with a projector which would show a 25-minute documentary about development works undertaken by BJP and particularly by Raghupati Bhat.

The Ratha will also serve as a dais for the party to hold meetings at street corners. Raghupati Bhat clarified that the Ratha was flagged-off with the permission of the election officials.

This is election stunt. BJP just believes in rath yatras. The great achievement of BJP is widening gap based on religion, instigating communual riots, killing in the name of Goraksha and advocating psuedo hinduism and promoting and encouraging Hindu terrorism.
