M’lore: Dr Ganesh Pai Delivers Lecture at TRICHOCON AP

Mangalore, May 2: The Indian Association of Dermatologists, Andhra Pradesh organized a state conference, TRICHOCON AP 2008 in Hyderabad on Sunday Apirl 27. It was a day-long programme.

Discussion of growth cycle of the hair, different types of hair loss, chronic hair loss in women and hair in various systemic diseases discussed in the morning session. In the afternoon session, Dr Ganesh S Pai delivered two talks. “Setting up a Laser Clinic” and the second talk was “Various Lasers in Hair – Indian Perspective”

Dr Bryan Nobbay from Bangalore spoke on hair transplantation. Dr S Murugusundram from Chennai discussed advanced investigations for hair assessment and analysis, and Dr Amala Kamath from Goa spoke on cosmetics in hair.

Meeting was attended by 350 dermatologists from Andhra Pradesh. Dr V K Somani, president of IADVL AP branch welcomed the gathering and Dr Vani Patalay, secretary proposed the vote of thanks.

During the presentation and the discussion light was shed on better management skills of hair diseases. New medicines in management of male pattern baldness and newer techniques in hair transplant surgery were discussed.
