Bantwal, May 6: Congress, BJP and JD (S) parties which ruled the centre and state since independence have failed to fulfill the assurances given by them to common people. Therefore, the people should get together to oust these parties and support the formation of third front in the country, said S Sudhakar Reddy, CPI national joint secretary.
Addressing the voters in the town on Sunday May 4, on behalf of CPI candidate lawyer Satish Kumar Bantwal, he said that CPI has already formed an alliance with the support of Sarvodaya Karnataka Party, Republican Party of India, Forward Block and other progressive alliances. Thus CPI (M) is emerging stronger nowadays and plays a vital role in the state political arena, he opined.
Meanwhile, he urged the voters to support CPI which works for the betterment of working class and labourers of unorganized sector.
CPI state secretary Dr Siddana Gowda Patil pleaded the voters to reject capitalistic and bureaucratic politicians in the coming assembly elections.
CPI district general secretary P Sanjeev, CPI leaders B K Krishnappa, B Vishwanath Nayak and CPI candidate Satish Kumar Bantwal were present on the dais.
CPI (M), SP Extend Support
CPI (M) and Samajwadi Party have extended support to CPI candidate Satish Kumar Bantwal in the coming assembly elections.
CPI (M) has been working hard for the rights of bidi and daily wagers, anganawady workers etc, and the support of CPI (M) and SP to him has increased strength of CPI in Bantwal constituency, he opined.
He added that the constituency has been facing shortage of water, even though Netravati river flows here. On the other hand, all the leading political parties have engaged in promoting communalism in the constituency. He will work hard to eliminate all these evils, he assured.
