Bangalore, May 6: Sunday May 4 was an auspicious day in the history of Nrityavani at St Charles School Auditorium, wherein 25 girls had the opportunity to present two months of hard work and dedication in a beautiful form of art and spirituality. The auditorium was overfilled with teachers, students, parents and their relatives of Nrityavani NBCLC.
The programme began with lighting of the lamp with ‘Gayatri Mantra’ sung by Suchita and Elizabeth. This was followed by ‘Pushpanjali’, a dance where the little angels offered flowers to God to receive divine blessings.
Fr Thomas D’Sa then took the opportunity to welcome the guests while describing the little performers as 'Araluva Narthakiyaru – blooming artists'. This was again followed by a beautiful dance 'Kaithvam,' praising God in a Christian way. The little angels then swung to the self- composed song by Chandrashekar 'Dhyana Sloka' a creative form of praying with dance.
The children then performed 'Padam' enacting the fondling of Krishna as a child. Immediately after that, there was the 'Keerthanai' based on ‘Bhakti Raga’ in praise of Lord Natrajan of Chidambaram. Last but not the least, there was the 'Navarasa Nayagan' which expressed the 9 emotions of Jesus which are love, courage, compassion, wonder, fear, disgust, joy, anger and peace.
