Kuwait, May 9: Tulu Koota - Kuwait, for the 8th year in succession, organized "Rasamanjari 2008" on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 4.30 pm in the Masrah Hawalli Hall- Kuwait. This time Tulukoota Kuwait geared up with its musical fiesta featuring Guru Kiran, Shamita Malnad, Chaitra, Naveen Koppa, famous drummer ‘Deva’ and Mimicry artiste Dayanand. 

This was the Tulu Koota`s first mega event of 2008 which was held under the presidentship of Sathishchandra Shetty. Tulu Koota successfully attracts larger and larger audiences year after year through their top-quality programs every year. The hall was jam-packed with music-lovers who enjoyed the every moment of the program.
The program started with welcome dance by Nritha Sri Nritha Vidyalayam followed by traditional lighting of lamp by President Sathischandra Shetty, Voce President Swarna Shetty and Cultural Secretary Harish Bhadary.
















The Magic and music of Kannada film industry was performed in Kuwait for the first time. The evening was filled with superb soul stirring music, songs, style and performances by Gurukiran and his troupe. Along with Gurukiran, Karnataka’s leading playback singers Chaitra, Shamita and Naveen Kumar Koppa rocked the stage with choicest selection of energetic Kannada, Tulu, Hindi, Konkani, music and dance tunes. As expected, mimicry artist Dayanand succeeded to send audience in to splits with his comedy and mimicry performance.  Drummer Devananda succeeded to give a new experience to Kuwait audience with his unique and fine art through his solo performance and during music to songs.

Dance by Ballerine’s entertainers and D’Illusions were mind blowing.  Along with drummer Daya, key board was played by Kuwait’s famous Adrian Gomes, Dholak- Tumba- Tabla by Munawar Khan, Acoustic drum by Sony Francis, Rhythm Guitar by Sathish abd base Guitar by Denis.













During the program, visiting artists were honored by flower bouquets and mementos.  Gurukiran was honored by traditional shawl, fruit basket, flower bouquets and memento.  The program was well compered by visiting artiste Naveen Kumar Koppa and announcements were done by Manoj Shetty and Smitha Shetty.
