Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 7: Blaming the Communist Party of India (Marxist) for the political violence occurring in Kerala, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has labeled them as “Communist Party of Murderers” and accused Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to be the chief “architect”.
BJP leader GVL Narsimha on Monday alleged that the Kerala CM is protecting the CPM cadres who are involved in killing 13 BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) cadres in a gruesome manner over the last few months. “The real face of the Communist party and its Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan should be known to all in the country. Vijayan was the architect of violence in the Kannur district, which is the epicentre of all such violence," Rao said.
BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi voiced his concern on Kerala becoming a safe house for miscreants. “The violence has increased under the present government. The government should take action against the perpetrators,” he added.
Union Minister Arun Jaitley has also condemned the attacks on RSS members and advised the state government to control its cadres than letting them loose on their political opponents.
“It is predominantly state government's responsibility to ensure peace restoration. This sort of attacks on political leaders has never happened in the past,” he said while addressing a press conference after meeting the grieving family of the slain RSS worker Rajesh Edavakode on Sunday.
Pinarayi Vijayan blames BJP
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has accused BJP for violence in state. Vijayan on Monday told the Kerala Assembly that his government had received intelligence reports suggesting that the BJP might carry out attacks in some parts of the state to divert the attention from the medical college scam involving one its expelled leader.
“The government has already taken precautionary measures to control this and is ready to handover the case to the CBI if necessary. The vigilance investigation team will consider the internal probe report prepared by the BJP, “he said.
“The propaganda that Kerala is a trouble-torn state is a matter of concern. Such a false propaganda will adversely impact its investment and development prospects,” Vijayan had told in the all-party meeting on Sunday which was attended by leaders of all major political parties including CPI(M), Congress and BJP.
